BASSAM

BASSAM

A powerful drama based on the true story of Bassam Aramin, co–founder of the Israeli–Palestinian peace movement ‘Combatants for Peace’, whose daughter was killed by an Israeli soldier. Present at the prestigious one man show festival the Theatreoneto in Jaffa for an Israeli and Palestinian audience, this play has since been translated from Hebrew to German, Italian, English and Arabic and toured to Ireland, the UK, France and the USA.

Written by Sligo based director, Isan Meir, and performed by Donegal based Palestinian actor, Fadl Mustapha, Bassam gives an authentic perspective on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The performance is followed by a post–show discussion with the writer/director and actor.
