Public Art & Group Tours
Individuals, schools, colleges or community groups can visit the ISLAND independently or take advantage of free interpretative talks of the exhibitions and guided tours of the site by Amanda Croft, History of Art lecturer, QUB and Curator of the UTV Art Collection.
Explore the Island’s new exhibitions, discover the XPLORART Public Art and Sculpture Trail or join us for a special arts centre tour to delve into the history, design and architectural elements of the ISLAND complex. Learn about its transformation from linen spinning mill to landmark arts centre and hear about the great fire of Lisburn in 1707.
Sessions are FREE, but must be prebooked and are subject to availability. Minimum of 6 people required. Contact Arts Information & Education on 02892 509509 or email
arts.info@island.lisburn.gov.uk. We look forward to seeing you on the island.
