Welcome to the Blue Rinse Mountains of Virginia! When an agony aunt reaches sixty, she can lie like a trooper, jump off a bridge – or take to the stage. Virginia Ironside explains that unlimited free drugs, fun funerals, grandchildren and sex – or, even better, no sex – make the sixties the best – and funniest – time of your life…

Bar drinks can be brought into the studio for this show.

Parking Info 

There are over 300 Free car parking spaces at Lagan Valley Island. At the entrance to Island Arts Centre there are 13 car parking spaces with 5 dedicated spaces for patrons with limited mobility and 2 spaces for Parent/Baby Parking. A further 10 dedicated parking spaces is reserved next to the main Civic Centre approach for drivers with limited mobility.
IAC is fully accessible and welcoming to all. We want to make your visit as easy and enjoyable as possible. Island Arts Centre's facilities have been audited and passed by Adapt NI while Island Civic Centre itself has received recognition for its "User-friendly environment" and is winner of the Prestigious Access Award by the William McKeown Trust in 2001.

If you have any specific requirements please call our Arts Information line on 028 92 509509 and our friendly staff will make sure that all the necessary arrangements are made to make your visit a good one.


 
Access is at ground level to arts centre facilities and box office. Access to the Studio Theatre lower level is by lift and stair lift if required. Please let the Box Office know in advance if you wish to reserve a space, plus an adjoining seat for a companion.

Hearing loops are installed in the Studio Theatre and Island Hall Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs are welcome.
