ISLAND Arts Centre is delighted to once again be part of National Schools Film Week (NSFW).  NSFW provides teachers and their students the opportunity to see a wide range of films at local cinemas entirely free-of-charge. From major urban centres to small towns, NSFW extends education into local cinemas, giving teachers the opportunity to use the power of film to cover many different subjects. All events are free and take place during school hours.

Teachers are invited to give their specific recommendations for events at ISLAND Arts Centre during National Schools Film Week. Known as 'Have Your Say', the research has just begun for this year¹s festival, which will take place 14th-22nd October, with ISLAND's screenings on Wednesday 20 October. Every year, NSFW build the programme from individual requests by teachers in schools. Because of their strong relationship with the UK Film Industry, we¹re able to fulfill 85%-90% of all requests.
