Lisburn City Council's Arts Service Retains Customer Service Excellence Accreditation

Lisburn City Council’s Arts Service has obtained Customer Service Excellence accreditation for the second year.

The Government's standard for Customer Service Excellence has proved to be a useful practical tool for driving customer-focused change within the service. It tests in great depth areas that are a priority for customers, with a particular focus on delivery, timeliness, information, professionalism and staff attitude. There is also emphasis placed on developing customer insight, understanding the user’s experience and robust measurement of service satisfaction. Compliance against the standard is assessed on a rolling annual programme.

To achieve reaccreditation, the Arts Service underwent a rigorous on-site inspection which involved the assessor talking to customers, staff and Arts Service partners. The Arts Service team was praised by the inspector for being customer focused, continuing to make service improvements since the last assessment, and that the feedback from customers and partners was very positive.

Commending the team on its success Councillor Thomas Beckett, Chair of Leisure Services Lisburn City Council said: "The retention of this national award is a credit to the hard work and commitment of the Arts Service team into providing a service to customers which is efficient and effective.

"The inspector's report is full of praise for the team members and the service they provide. The team worked really hard to retain the standard, and to improve on the previous assessment. Well done to everyone involved."
