Lisburn City Council’s Arts Service has achieved national recognition for Customer Service.
Following 3 years of evaluations and intensive assessments, Lisburn City Council’s Arts Service has become the first Arts Service in Ireland and the UK to achieve the new Cabinet Office Quality Hallmark.
Scoring highly across all areas, the assessment covered all aspects of the Arts Service including ISLAND Arts Centre with its theatre and gallery programming, festivals, community arts, arts education and workshop provision, technical events assistance, marketing and administration.
The Arts Service was recognised as having thoroughly explored customers’ journeys and in being proactive in making the full experience as easy for the customer as possible. The Arts Service was also identified as showing particular best practice in terms of its programme of outreach visits, incorporating what it learns from customers into policies, and into its own comments and complaints system.
Alison Sloan, the Assessor from SGS House, CSE said: “Following the assessment, Lisburn City Council’s Arts Service was found to have a deep understanding and a commitment to Customer Service Excellence. The commitment was found from Senior Management levels through to operations and front line staff “.
Siobhan McCormick, the Arts Service Manager said, “The achievement of this coveted Hallmark was no mean task and involved the total commitment of the Arts Service team. We are very proud to have done this and it is of particular significance as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of ISLAND Arts Centre next year”.
Now holding the Customer Service Excellence Standard, the Council’s Arts Service continues to strive towards customer excellence and is continuing to further develop its customer service experience.
