Carol Graham
Born in Belfast, educated in Ballymena and Belfast, Carol Graham RUA, Dip Fine Art, has been a practicing professional artist in Lisburn since 1981 and is one of the country's most prestigious artists.
Her subject matter includes portraits, still life, landscapes, horses, and figurative and abstract images. Throughout the breadth of her subject matter, from the most vibrant to the darkest, there is a consistent quality of light.
This is evident too, in Carol's symbolic work, which has moved sharply away from the defined realism of her earlier paintings to the recent archetypal and spiritual images.
Throughout her career Carol has taken commissions and her sitters have included Flautist, James Galway, former President of Ireland & United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Dr. Mary Robinson, former Governor of Northern Ireland, Lord Grey, Lord Lowry, broadcaster Gloria Hunniford and many more.
