Lisburn Arts Advisory Committee was established over 30 years ago to help with the promotion of the arts in the Lisburn area. The Committee meet monthly at ISLAND Arts Centre and co-ordiante a range of projects including the annual Schools' Arts Competition and the bi-annual Anna Cheyne Visual Art Award.
The LAAC are also responsible for the distribution of arts grants and bursaries on behalf of Lisburn City Council and grants are available to individual artists and arts organisation with bursaries also available to individuals.
The Committee is made up of local volunteers who together have many years of experience in a wide range of art forms.
